Melissa was a student of English as a Second Language course at the British Council. She loved almost everything about the English language except one thing – English grammar. She could not wrap her head around the fine intricacies of the language; its adjectives, adverbs, conjunctions and so on. But there was no way around it. One day in her grammar class she was given a conjunctions worksheet. She had understood the concept of conjunctions, but when it came to usage, things began to be difficult.
