Rumble

What can be more thrilling than looking forward to the release of the big global hit of a film? It is none other than the computer-animated sports comedy film to be released in the United States on February 18, 2022, by Paramount Pictures. From all indications, Rumble will deliver all that it promises. Based on a graphic novel by Rob Harrell ‘Monster on the Hill’, and directed by Hamish Grieve, the film stars the voices of legends like Will Arnett, Gerladine Viswanathan, Terry Crews, and Tony Danza.

Rumble portrays a world in which humans and monsters collide. The humans are no match for the monsters who are superstar athletes. They even compete in Monster Wrestling, a popular professional wrestling global sport. The reigning champion is a monster called Tentacular, who is seemingly undefeatable. However, a young girl named Winnie takes it upon herself to take on Tentacular. She is actually following the footsteps of her father as a manager, and coaches a lovable, in-experienced underdog monster called Steve. Will Arnett displays and enviable performance as Steve, the red reptilian monster and amateur wrestler while Geraldine Viswanathan brings to life Winnie McEvoy, the aspiring 17-year-old monster wrestling trainer. Terry Crews is the shark-headed tentacled monster who is the reigning monster champion, called Tentacular.

The first official trailer of the movie is scheduled to be released on the 5th of October 2021. The actual release date of the movie was moved many times, from July 3, 2020, to January 29, 2021, to May 14, 2021 and finally, as a result of the Covid pandemic, to February 18, 2022. Rumble will be available for streaming on Paramount 45 days after its release in theatres.
