Outstanding Story (Sub-junior) - Trapped In A Snow Globe

“Trapped In A Snow Globe” is one of the outstanding stories (sub-junior) of the first biannual International Short Story Contest 2019 written by Elvin Elias, Smartling Learning Center, USA.

Trapped In A Snow Globe

I was in bed sleeping well when I was wakened by this unusual sound. At first I thought it was my alarm clock but that's not how my alarm clock sounds like. Then I saw an unusual remote so I took it. It was a very small remote and it only had one red button. I thought for some time, should I press or not. What else could I do with this small remote?

So I pressed the button and an antenna popped out then a red ray shootout and hit my snow globe. Suddenly I was in a different world. At first I thought I was outside then I noticed the difference. All the cars were made of ice, the sidewalk was all snowy and the trees really really white. And then I realized I was inside my own snow globe with a bunch of other people I don’t know. The remote was still in my hand I didn't know what to do with it so I kept it in my pocket and started walking. After some walking I looked at the other people, they were people that where were made of cardboard.

Then I took my remote. You guys might think I was going to zap these people and send them into some place but no. I was going to zap them make everyone alive and sure enough they were alive. Then after that I noticed a house with my name. I scanned my hand on the machine and the door opened. There was a robot cleaning the house and sure enough she was doing a pretty good job. I was going to check the house out when my butt started burning, and then I realized the remote was burning!!! Now how am I going to get back HOME! Then my mind was full of questions so I went to bed. Then the next day there was a package in the front door. I opened it and there was the same remote. I pressed the button and I was back in bed and then I realized it was just a dream.
