Sam’s Flying Adventures

Sam was getting ready for his first trip with his family to go to his relative's place in India. The family had a wedding to attend and so everyone was super excited. They left at 3:00 pm so that they could reach the airport on time. When they finished all the check-in and immigration, they started walking towards the gate.

"Oh no! “Exclaimed Maria (Sam's mom)."I forgot to collect my handbag at the checking counter! You guys go ahead while I will go and get it myself”. Bothdad and Sam walked towards the boarding gate. No sooner did they board the plane with other passengers, the pilot announced for the take-off. Poor mom was still stuck at the airport and unfortunately missed her flight. Dad and Sam were now horribly worried and crestfallen. How could they leave mom alone stuck at the airport! But they were really helpless!

Dad immediately informed the airhostess about their peculiar situation who then messaged the airport authorities. They informed mom and she then decided to stay back home.

Both Sam and dad were also updated about mom's safety and they heaved a sigh of relief.

The next few hours went well as they relaxed in their comfy seats and Sam relished on the delicacies served in flight and gulped down the juices offered to him by the courteous airhostess.

Everything was going fine until suddenly the sky turned ebony black and a huge lightning struck the plane. The plane shook terribly for a few seconds and there was a small fire in one of the engines. The quick thinking pilot announced emergency landing in the waters. There was a loud hue and cry as the people rushed towards the emergency exits. Everyone wore their safety suits and jumped out. Unfortunately, Sam and dad had to take different exits. Sam plunged into the icy cold waters of the Gigantic Ocean but did not know where he was! “Dad! Dad! Where are you? “He cried but could not trace him. Dad was devastated on losing Sam and tried a lot to find him but all in vain! Dad and some other passengers were saved by a steamer and taken to the coast. There, Sam was all alone, in a deep shock and fainted. He was then washed by the waves to the shore of an unknown island.

Sometime later, when Sam opened his eyes, he found himself surrounded by a bunch of figures wearing tribal attires. A few of them ran towards him, picked him up and took him to their leader. As Sam reached the arena, he saw those figures chanting some ancient but gibberish verses. He was then made to stand in front of their leader, Marcos.

Marcos sternly looked at Sam and placed his hand on the boy's head. He could read his thoughts. “You belong to the human race and you are in great difficulty ", he said. “But do not worry. We are good aliens and will surely help you unite with your parents. We wish to return a favor the human race had once done to us years ago when they saved us from a crashing meteorite. And now it's our time. They offered him a fuchsia pink colored energy drink and some crunchy and tasty cookies. Marcos then commanded his men to safely escort Sam to his destination in the spectacular spacecraft. No sooner the lucky boy was reunited to his parents who were equally tensed and concerned for his safe return.

Sam learnt a very good lesson that day. ‘If we do something good, we always get rewarded, maybe in one form or another'.
