Rina – The Selfish Girl

There lived a girl named Rina in Delhi. She was very selfish. Though, she used to play with her younger brother’s toys, but never shared hers with him. In the society park, she never took turns, and once she gets the swing or seesaw, she never used to vacate for others.

Rina’s mother was a very good cook. She used to prepare delicious food. Rina used to enjoy the delicacies at home and used to take the tiffin to school as well. Breakfast and lunch was provided in Rina’s school and the children who used to bring tiffin used to have it in the class itself. One day, a girl named Tina, who was sitting next to her, asked if she could taste some food from Rina’s tiffin as the aroma of the food Rina brought was irresistible. Rina refused to share. After a little while, Tina asked again, this time for a small bite. Rina got really angry and threatened Tina that she would complaint to the teacher if Tina asks for tasting the food again. Tina got scared and got busy with her chore.

Next day in school, Tina also brought tiffin and there were many chocolates inside the tiffin box. Rina came and asked for some. Tina responded, “You didn’t allow me to taste what you brought yesterday, so why should I share the chocolates with you”. Rina pleaded, as she was very fond of chocolates. She said, “Please Tina, please share the chocolates with me... please… please”. Tina got angry and said, “I will complaint to ma’am that when I asked you for sharing the tiffin, you didn’t share with me and now you are requesting for a share in chocolates”. Rina realized that being selfish is not good. Rina said sorry to Tina and asked Tina for her forgiveness. From the next day, both brought tiffin and shared with each other.Infact, Rina started sharing the tiffin with everyone who used to be around.

Moral: Sharing helps.
