๐ Weather Around Me
We see and feel weather every day. Learners will use fun activities to find out how sunny, rainy, cloudy and snowy days are different in this science unit. By looking at bright sunlight and snowfall, children in this lesson discover ways weather can change and influence our daily habits.
How will students be taught?
Learn on sunny days about how the sun keeps us all warm and is important for plant life. Learn what we usually wear and do when the sun is shining.
When it's a rainy day, discuss clouds, the water cycle and the purpose of umbrellas. Rain songs and water play activities are sure to entertain and educate your children.
What makes up the clouds you see in the sky? Why is it gray when you look up at the sky? Students will look at various types of clouds and guess what their shapes suggest for the weather.
Find out about how snow forms as opposed to rain. Your children will often talk about their winter clothing, describe snowflakes and share stories of winter activities.
