Fun Kiwi Water Blaster: Best Electric Water Gun of 2025

After three full weekends of neighborhood water battles and countless refills, I’m sharing my family’s honest experience with the Fun Kiwi Water Blaster – a water gun that’s become the most fought-over toy in our backyard this spring.

Real-World Testing

Our testing crew included my three kids (ages 7, 10, and 12) and several neighborhood friends who’ve collectively put this water gun through rigorous testing. We’ve used it during dry 85°F afternoons and even during a light drizzle (kids don’t care about rain when water guns are involved).

My 7-year-old’s perspective: “I can finally win against Max because I don’t have to stop and pump all the time!” The automatic firing mechanism is indeed a game-changer for younger players who typically get outmatched in traditional water gun battles.

Battery Performance

We’ve found the battery typically lasts for about 60 minutes of actual trigger time (we timed it during several play sessions). Charging takes roughly 2 hours from empty – slightly longer than advertised, but not problematic.

The USB-C charging is convenient but requires planning ahead. We learned the hard way to establish a “charging station” in the garage to avoid last-minute disappointment.

Daily Use Observations

The water capacity feels just right for our kids. My 10-year-old can refill it himself without spilling, though the screw cap sometimes gets difficult to open when wet hands are involved.

Range is impressive in still conditions – we measured about 32 feet consistently. However, even slight wind significantly reduces effective range, something to consider for beach use.

We’ve noticed the trigger can occasionally stick after extended use, requiring a quick tap to reset. The kids have learned this quirk and adapted without frustration.

Durability Notes

After being accidentally left outside overnight twice (including during a rainstorm), the blaster still works perfectly. The battery compartment seal has proven reliable – something I was initially concerned about.

The plastic has withstood multiple drops on concrete, though the blue trim piece near the handle did crack slightly when my oldest dropped it from our deck.

Unexpected Benefits

The quieter operation compared to manual pump guns has been a welcome surprise for neighbors and parents alike. No more squeaking pump mechanisms during early weekend water battles!

Water usage is notably more efficient than with traditional water guns, meaning less mud in the yard and lower water bills – a practical consideration during our area’s water restrictions.

Bottom Line

The Fun Kiwi Water Blaster has genuinely enhanced our outdoor play this season. For families looking for a water gun that balances performance with kid-friendly features, it’s earned our recommendation as the BEST ELECTRIC WATER GUN IN 2025!
