๐Ÿงฎ Basic Time Concepts

This learning area teaches young children how to recognize the passing of time and the order of the day. By learning them, kids can improve their daily habits and control how they spend their time better. Comprehending time now will help children grow ready to use more advanced ways of reading the clock in the coming years. They also get to increase their vocabulary while exploring science ideas together.

Morning / Evening

They notice that there are changes in what people do, the natural light, and their own daily schedules during morning and evening. At this point, kids learn that having breakfast is normal in the morning and dinner in the evening. Help kids realize that each day begins in the morning and ends in the evening to follow the main pattern of the day. They also allow kids to count the changes in time and what happens after them.

Days of the Week

Songs, calendar pages, and daily routines are used to teach kids the names and sequence of the seven days of the week. Days give children a way to look ahead and understand when events like school days and weekends will take place. Practicing the days of the week improves both people's memory and how they sequence things. Thanks to this, holidays and planning are better understood and connected to time.
