🧮 Expressions and Equations
Expressions and Equations give students an introduction to using numbers, symbols and operations to describe situations from the real world. By covering this topic, students work on problem-solving, following reasoning and preparing for advanced math. Being able to work with expressions and equations is necessary to improve in algebra and grasp how mathematics relates.
1-Step/2-Step Equations
They are taught to find unknown variables in equations that use one or two basic operations. Solving a one-step equation is simple because only one step is needed, whereas two-step equations must be worked out in the proper sequence. It makes students feel more confident when solving problems involving algebra. Students find the subject exciting when they use it to calculate expenses or compare the amount of items.
Simplifying Expressions
They work on bringing like terms together and rewriting by distributing. They do what is needed to turn an expression into a simpler one to manage and comprehend. Making expressions simpler increases a student’s ability in algebra and makes them aware of patterns in solving exercises. When learners practice using real examples, they feel more confident and do it right.
