Family-Friendly Things To Do in Las Vegas with Kids

Las Vegas may be best known for its casinos and live entertainment, drawing in millions of adult visitors from all over the globe, but “The Entertainment Capital of the World” is also a super spot for a family vacation. In fact, there are lots of amazing things to do in Vegas with kids of all ages. Below, we’ll look at some of our favorite family-friendly activities in Las Vegas.

Kid-friendly Shows

Las Vegas has some of the best live entertainment anywhere on the planet, and while some shows are aimed at adults only, there are also lots of great shows that kids can enjoy.

You might like to check out the amazing acrobats of the Cirque du Soleil in “Mystere”, for example, or let your kids live out their medieval fantasies at the “Tournament of Kings”, over at Excalibur. Just make sure to compare Las Vegas show ticket prices to get the best deal.

Las Vegas High Roller Observation Wheel

Vegas is a pretty impressive sight at ground level, but have you ever wanted to see what it was like from 550 feet in the air? Well, that’s exactly what you and your family can enjoy at Las Vegas’ amazing High Roller Observation Wheel.

The tallest of its kind in the world, the wheel has extra-large cabins that can hold up to 40 people at a time, and it never stops moving, giving riders an ever-changing view of the Strip and the mountains in the distance.

Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N.

Are your little ones fans of the Marvel superhero movies and comic books? If so, you won’t want to miss out on a trip to Marvel’s Avengers S.T.A.T.I.O.N. over at the Treasure Island hotel, which is also a great place to visit with kids in general.

At this attraction, kids and grown-ups alike can indulge their love of comics, learning more about the likes of Iron Man and Captain America and even becoming Avengers in their own right.

Las Vegas Indoor Skydiving

Looking for fun summer birthday party ideas for adults and kids? If so, how about a skydiving experience, but without the need to actually jump out of a plane in mid-air? At Las Vegas Indoor Skydiving, you and your family can experience the thrills of diving from the sky.

Each session lasts about a quarter of air inside a huge wind tunnel where you’ll actually be able to float in mid-air, performing spins and twirls without having to worry about looking down and seeing the ground hundreds of feet away.

The Adventuredome

One of the easiest ways to make kids happy is to take them to an amusement park. There, kids can have the time of their lives riding the rollercoasters and enjoying all the fun and games of the fair, like mini golf and arcade machines.

Luckily, Las Vegas has its very own theme park – Adventuredome. Situated at the Circus Circus hotel, this amusement park has plenty of rides, as well as golf, rock climbing, escape rooms, and a whole lot more, sure to please every member of the family.

Shark Reef Aquarium

Are your kids interested in animals, especially those that live deep down beneath the surface of the ocean? If so, they’re sure to have a fabulous time at one of Vegas’ best aquariums: the Shark Reef aquarium.

Boasting 14 exhibits and more than 2,000 animals in total, this is a massive aquarium. It specializes in sharks, with over 100 sharks, and around a dozen different varieties, but you’ll also find other interesting creatures here, including Komodo dragons and colorful, tropical fish.

Free Attractions on The Strip

Looking for some budget-friendly things to do with kids in Vegas? If so, there’s no need to worry. The Strip has lots of completely free attractions and activities that can appeal to kids of various ages.

Even just walking down the Strip and admiring the various hotels can be an experience in its own right, and you can catch free shows like the Fountains of Bellagio or the Mirage Volcano. You can also walk around hotels like Caesars Palace or the Luxor to admire the various displays and incredible interiors.

Ethel M Chocolate Factory

If your little one has a sweet tooth, you might like to consider a trip to the Ethel M Chocolate Factory, home of Nevada’s premiere gourmet chocolatier. Here, you’ll be able to watch the tastiest, yummiest treats being made, like sweet caramels and crunchy pecan brittle.

The factory is also famed for its beautiful botanical cactus garden, which is also open to visitors and even gets decorated with lights and more for the festive season if you happen to be visiting Vegas for the holidays.

For those looking for daycare options in Las Vegas, be sure to check out Learning Space Christian Academy, a highly recommended day care center in the area.
