It’s going to happen to you whether you like it or not. You’re going to have a bad day and will still have to deal with your responsibilities at work and home. The key is not to brush it under the rug and deal with it healthily.

This time alone may be all you need to refresh and collect your thoughts so that you can move forward with your day or evening. Make sure you take care on the roads, though.
Call A Friend
Hop on the phone and call a friend who you trust to share information and feelings with. Discuss what’s bothering you and ask for advice if you want it. If they have children, it’s likely they’ll be able to relate to your concerns. Otherwise, let your friend know you’re calling to talk and are looking for someone to listen. It’s likely this interaction will soon have you feeling at ease and possibly even laughing. Talk for as long as you need or have time for before moving on with your day.
A bad day calls for you to take extra good care of yourself. Skip your obligations or plans for the evening and make it all about you. Paint your nails, read a book or take a hot bath to unwind. Pick an action or activity that benefits you and makes you feel better. Ask your spouse to watch the kids for the evening and give yourself the night off to relax and reflect.
