When you start off with cutting calories and exercising, the rapid drop in weight you experience in the first couple of weeks will stop. Your body undergoes changes in terms of water weight, fat, and lean tissue, which consequently results in a decline in metabolism. So, understand this fact and implement a steady reduction in calorie intake over time to accommodate these changes.
Calories are like people in many ways. They’re not all the same. A hundred calories in sugar is different from a hundred calories in say leafy vegetables. They work differently inside your body.

Eat when you’re hungry. When you’re stressed, go see a movie, visit friends, take a walk through a crowded mall, just get yourself in the middle of people.
You don’t have to do away with your guilty pleasures. Have a sampling of those fries, a piece of fried chicken once a week won’t kill you. In the meantime, when you’re hungry on a routine day, make it a habit to fill yourself up with steamed vegetables, oatmeal, or low-sugar cereal as per your preference. You will notice the difference in everything you do. Try it for one week and the habit will kick in.
