To keep them more excited and interesting, grow plants with playful appeal with flavors and fragrance. Choose big sized seeds which will be easy for small hands to press into the soil. Beginning gardeners won’t have much patience to wait long until harvest, so select plants that grows quickly. For safety’s sake, it’s better to grow plants with non-poisonous in nature and make sure whenever your children are with you in the garden, things like fertilizers, pesticides or manure are not within the reach, because it’s all too easy for them to get into an unsafe situation very quickly. Be sure to supervise closely which is also a part of the fun.
In the garden, your child will hear the birds singing and the buzz of bees and different kind of insects too. Let them listen to those sounds and make them feel the nature around them and encourage them to experience different textures outdoors as they reach out to feel what they see.
